LEHIGH COUNTY, PA – July 13, 2025 — Kassandra Milkewicz, a 36-year-old woman from Lansford, Carbon County, has been officially identified as the victim of a fatal crash in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, on Monday, July 13, 2025. According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, Milkewicz was pronounced dead at the scene following the multi-vehicle collision that occurred just after 1:00 a.m. along Route 309.
Details of the Fatal Crash: A Collision Involving Three Vehicles
The tragic incident took place when three vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 309 and Mosserville/Mountain Road. Milkewicz, who was driving a 2020 Hyundai Tucson, was traveling north on Route 309 when her vehicle collided with a 2005 Honda Civic driven by a 20-year-old man from Bethlehem. A third vehicle, a tractor-trailer, was also involved, driven by a 53-year-old man from New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.
Pennsylvania State Police reported that the Hyundai Tucson, the Honda Civic, and the tractor-trailer were all traveling in different directions when their paths intersected. The resulting collision caused severe injuries to Milkewicz, and she was pronounced dead on impact. The cause of death has been confirmed by the coroner as multiple blunt force trauma from the crash.
Investigation Underway: What Led to the Collision?
As of now, authorities have not determined the exact cause of the crash. The Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating the incident and reviewing all available evidence. They have not provided any information on whether weather conditions, speed, or impairment played a role in the deadly collision.
The other drivers involved, including the 20-year-old man driving the Honda Civic and the 53-year-old tractor-trailer operator, have not been publicly identified. Investigators have also not confirmed whether they were injured in the crash or if any charges are pending against them.
Route 309: A Busy Yet Hazardous Roadway
The crash occurred on Route 309, a frequently traveled roadway in Lehigh County. This particular section, near the intersection with Mosserville/Mountain Road, can be especially hazardous at night, due to lower visibility and higher speeds that can make driving more dangerous, especially at busy intersections.
Local residents and officials are concerned that this tragic event underscores the dangers associated with nighttime driving and complex intersections involving multiple roadways.
